Personalised SMS messages clearly enhance customer communication. When a message addresses the recipient by name or contains personal information, it is perceived as more important - and works better. With Quriiri, you can send personalised messages easily, even to thousands of recipients at once. In this blog, we'll show you how personalisation works in practice, and how to get the most out of it.
Why personalise your SMS messages?
- Increase the likelihood of your message being read
- Improve the effectiveness of your message (clicks, bookings, purchases)
- Strengthen customer experience and trust
- Allows you to send unique codes or links - e.g. customer-specific promotional codes, booking links or feedback surveys
Example:
Hi Laura, your order is now on its way. Estimated delivery date: Fri 9.8.
This feels much more personal than:
Your order has been sent.
How does personalisation work in Quriiri?
In Quriiri, personalisation of messages is done using records. They are added to the message base and, when the message is sent, these records are automatically populated with recipient-specific information.
You can store 15 different records for a contact, 11 of which are predefined, such as first name, last name, date of birth, address, etc. 4 of the records are freely definable. These freely definable records are called Parameter1, Parameter2, Parameter3 and Parameter4.
In order to personalise the message, the necessary information must be found in the contact details in Quriiri. You can easily import them from an Excel or csv file - at the same time as you import the phone numbers.
Message personalisation works across all Quriirin applications, including message campaigns, instant messages and surveys. Personalised messages can also be sent via the interface and integrations.

Remember this before sending messages:
The information used for personalisation (e.g. first name, order number, link) must be found in the contact details. If any information is missing, the variable will be left blank → the message may look strange to the recipient.
Examples of personalised messages
Online shop:
”Hi First Name, your order for Parametri1 is now on its way. Estimated delivery: parameter2.”

Electricity company:
”Hey First Name! Your new electricity contract is valid from parameter1. As a thank you, you will receive a personal prefix code: parameter2. Get a -10 % discount on your first bill.
Sincerely, your electricity company”

Webinar:
”Good morning First Name! Webinar Parameter1 will start at Parameter2. You can find the link to participate in your email or join the lino: Parameter3. Welcome to join us!”

Tips for successful personalisation
🔸 Use only the information that is sure to be found on each recipient
🔸 Send a test message before sending - empty fields look unprofessional
🔸 Keep the message snappy - personalisation is a power tool, not the whole content of the message

Personalising your text messages with Quriiri is quick and easy - and the effects are immediate. With a little effort, you can create messages that feel personal and lead to better results.
