Last year was a year of celebration for SMS. 30 years old, SMS is still going strong in corporate customer communications. SMS does not excel in visual appeal, but it excels in effectiveness. And that's why more and more companies are relying on SMS to communicate with their customers. The growth figures for Quriiri also show this.
In 2022, Quriirin technology was used to send nearly 240 million SMS messages and the company's turnover increased by 28% compared to the previous year, reaching €2.3 million.
”SMS is still the most effective channel to reach people. Messages are sure to get through and get noticed. Text messages are also very actively responded to and increasingly, communication is an interaction between businesses and customers.”, says Quriiri's Business Director and co-founder Lasse Lohikoski.
Homeliness and personality stand out
Quriiri is offered under the CPaaS (Communications Platform as a Service) service model and the services it enables can be easily integrated into internal and external business communication flows. Despite strong competition, Quriiri has been able to distinguish itself through its domestic presence, expert service and reliability.
”It is easier for Finnish companies to trust a domestic operator that offers a personalised service. We offer our customers high performance and high quality communication connections globally and we are committed to serving our customers in all situations. Our long and varied experience enables us to help our clients with complex challenges and needs. We are also committed to complying with the EU Data Protection Directive (GDPR) and our clients” data is always stored within the EU.", says Quriiri's Development Director and Co-Founder Gabriel Drescher.
Versatile and effective SMS
Businesses send SMS messages such as SMS confirmations and reminders, surveys, marketing messages, pin codes and important announcements.
”When it's really important to reach a customer quickly and reliably, they turn to SMS. One example of this is the electricity companies, which have actively used SMS to inform about changes in electricity supply and prices.”, says Lasse.
During the coming year, Quriiri will actively monitor the possible arrival of RCS (Rich Communication Services) in Finland. RCS is a technology developed by Google that is a more visual version of SMS. It allows messages to include video, images, shortcut buttons, audio, etc.
”RCS will bring a richer and more diverse way of communicating, but a more precise timetable is not yet known. In addition to RCS, we are continuously developing Quriiri to serve our customers” needs and are closely involved in industry developments.", says Lasse.
Growth comes through talent
At the heart of Quriiri are its people. Quriiri is a close-knit group of versatile, top professionals, united by a desire to work professionally but in a relaxed manner. All are interested in developing and working towards a common goal.
During 2022, an office was opened in Oulu, where the aim is to continue recruiting more employees.
“We have found the right people to develop our service and business. We want to continue this growth and development so that we can continue to be a good place to work and provide the best service to our customers.”, says Lasse.
